Stag fire poker/blacksmith fire pit tool/hand forged

This highly complex poker is made by combining 4 separate pre forged components, fusing them together in the fire. Then the features are put in using hammer and chisels, refined and a spiralling twist is added to the shaft and the end forged to a point (other options are available). Finally I stamp each finished item with my makers mark.

Approximately 66 cm/26 inch long as standard.

Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would.

Because of the nature of my work and the materials used there will be slight variations between products as no two are ever completely the same.

The Items I sell are all forged to order, please contact me if you need one for a specific date and I can usually move things around to get it to you in time.

While not sharpened the antlers do stick upwards and make this product unsuitable for unsupervised use by very young children.
