This is the large version of my fireside tongs (please check my other items if you require a smaller set).
Forged from solid steel, they will survive heavy use and very high heat. unlike other wood grabbing tools they have no spring or flexible section that will eventually break and succumb to metal fatigue, these heavy duty tongs are deigned to be used and will last for generations.
The jaws can opened wide enough to lift large logs, the pointed prongs dig in and grab the wood, allowing it to be repositioned within the fire or dragged in to the required position.
The handle section is lightly textured to give a nice comfortable and secure grip.
Approximately 40 inches / 101 cm, they are suitable for large fireplaces or fire pits, keeping you clean and safe while still allowing good fire management.
Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would.
Because of the nature of my work and the materials used there will be slight variations between products as no two are ever completely the same.
The Items I sell are all forged to order, please contact me if you need one for a specific date and I can usually move things around to get it to you in time.

I am very careful about my purchases. I would rather pay extra and have something for a long time. These are crafted in an old world style. The three-point talons At the end of the tongs and the long handles allow me to stack the burning logs in any configuration I want. Not once did my campfire get smoky and choke out the crowd. You're interested in buying something beautiful and durable and functional get these. Yes they are expensive but if you use them correctly, they will last indefinitely. Great job
