Requested quite a lot, so I thought as Halloween is coming up this was the right time to develop it.
This fire poker has been made from an extra thick metal bar to give me more material to carve into, allowing more detail to be put into the skull. This also means the rest of the fire poker is larger and more heavily textured than normal as the entire thing has been forged and stretched from one large chunk of metal.
Approximately 80 cm/ 31 inch long with a barb.
This is a heavy duty fire poker that with good care will last for generations.
Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would.
