The shovel is made from heavy duty steel plate fastened on to a decretive handle. The handle can be finished off with any animal head.
Have a look at my other fire tools if you would like a set or non-standard animal head.
Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would.
Because of the nature of my work and the materials used there will be slight variations between products as no two are ever completely the same.
The Items I sell are all forged to order, please contact me if you need one for a specific date and I can usually move things around to get it to you in time.
