Fireplace tongs. Heavy duty, forged from solid steel

Forged from solid steel they will survive heavy use and very high heat. Unlike other tongs they have no spring or flexible section that will eventually crack, these heavy duty tongs are deigned to be used and will last for generations. 

The jaws can opened wide enough to lift large logs as the pointed prongs dig in and grab securely.

The handle section is lightly textured to gives a nice comfortable and secure grip.

Approximately 27.5 inches / 70 cm, they are suitable for large fireplaces or fire pits, keeping you clean and safe while still allowing good fire management. The curved handle variation will hook over a bar or other storage device such as my spiral stand.

Each product is finished with a traditional mix of linseed oil and beeswax. Applied hot it burns on to the surface giving a slightly darker finish to the metal without obscuring any of the hammer marks like modern paints or finishes would. 

Because of the nature of my work and the materials used there will be slight variations between products as no two are ever completely the same.
